From salt pans and fishing towns to gourmet pleasures
The Slovenian coast borders on the Republic of Italy in the north and the Republic of Croatia in the south. Our path, beginning in the north, first stops in the largest coastal city, Koper, with an important port. We continue along the orderly path by the coast, suitable for hikers and cyclists, to the fishing town of Izola. We continue past the health resort, clam farm, and miniature salt pans of Strunjan to the pearl of Slovenian coast, the beautiful town of Piran. Further on, the promenade along the coast takes us to and through the vacation town or Portorož, on to the globally renowned and ethnographically important salt pans of Sečovlje. The Slovenian Istria in the background provides a picturesque scenery and gourmet pleasures. The Slovenian coast (Koper) is 190 km or 2 hours' drive away from the Herbal Glamping Resort.
